If you've never been the victim to panic symptoms it can be hard to understand what a sufferer goes through when they experience a panic attack. Living with such anxiety disorders can be terrifying, ruining chances of a normal life. With new an effective means at treating and eliminating the symptoms of panic disorders many sufferers are finding a new lease of life. This may be comforting to hear for those who suffer from panic disorders.
During an attack a sufferer may experience panic symptoms such as trembling, excess perspiration and even a suffocating sensation. Often sufferers will experience other symptoms. Depending on the anxiety trigger, sufferers may find it hard to undertake certain tasks, for example driving, walking down a busy street and even stepping outside their doorway.
A previous negative experience may have sparked the first panic attack which triggers subsequent attacks that are related to that incident. A person who suffers from social phobia may have developed the fear of speaking in front of others, perhaps from a talk they had to give. Panic symptoms may arise by just the thought of having a panic attack.
People who suffer from anxiety disorders may find themselves exaggerating problems and may obsess with the littlest obstacle in their life. Everyday life that we take for granted can seem a nightmare for sufferers of anxiety disorders.
When panic symptoms begin, the feeling often starts in the gut and in the chest. They may feel a lump in their throat and a tingling feeling down their arms. Panic symptoms may increase depending on the situation they are in.
A feeling of de-realization can develop. Panic sets in and there's a fine line to a full blown attack. Concentrating on the sensations only fires the panic attack. The sufferer is in effect panicking about panicking! This vicious circle can build up to an intolerable level.
The stress response fires up. If the situation permits, walking away and having a breather can sometimes help. If the situation forces the sufferer to stick out the anxiety attack they often find that their subconscious reinforces the negative experience along with past negative experiences.
Each time the feeling of anxiety and panic may increase and panic symptoms exacerbate. Anxiety disorders can make life intolerable to live with at times. Even simple daily jobs such as going to the bank or going to the supermarket can be challenging.
It's no wonder many sufferers feel alone in their suffering. There are various anxiety disorders which account for the various panic symptoms a sufferer might experience. A physician might diagnose two patients differently when in fact they have the identical anxiety disorder.
Fortunately, more and more sufferers are finding alternative ways to treat and cure their anxiety disorder.
